Resources for exploring Israel and Palestine

In the center of Jerusalem is a walled area that surrounds the Old City. Three of the world's greatest religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all have their roots in Jerusalem. Many sites in Jerusalem are held sacred to each of the faiths. The Western Wall is a remnant of the Second Temple of Jerusalem that was destroyed in A.D. 70. by the Roman Empire.  The Holy sites in Jerusalem are at the heart of the Israel Palestinian conflict. Jerusalem is involved in a tug of war between Jewish and Muslim claims to the holy sites.
